It doesn’t usually take me all of six hours to write a post, however, today is no ordinary day, it’s the start of London Fashion Week 2012 (#LFW12), and my eyes have been glued to my Twitter feed like never before, I in fact fear I may need to attend meetings for Twitter feed anonymous once #LFW12 is over.

Right so whilst I am still high on everything that’s going on, let me fill you in…

  • British design duo Antoni & Alison was the first to show their new collection, which hints of an autumna wardrobe bursting with colour. It’s reported that they were fierce, showcasing their trademark style of simple cuts, whilst also encorporating bold colourful patterns and prints.
  • Great work from the Felder Felder sisters, whose feminine rock and roll items have been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Florence and the Machine and Allison Mosshart. So far on Twitter, everyone is talking about ‘that RED dress!’ (pictures below!)
  • Corrie Nielsen opened her show to bagpipes and tartan bringing in a heritage vibe. Her show was described as having “the aura of a McQueen show, and the craft of an expert” (@accessFashion).

  • The Fyodor Golan show started 10 minutes late, but the white gown that transcended the stage afterwards looked so spectacular that one would imagine that the anticipation was build intentionally.

Hope  you enjoyed the pics circulating from the Twitter domain, no doubt some better ones should be in the press by this evening, I shall be taking plenty of my own pictures as of tomorrow.

I have to run off now, but I will be attending the British Fashion Council International Showcase at Somerset House this weekend, along with the awards on Sunday with BlackPearlPR . Tweet me if you will be there, or follow me on Twitter to keep in the loop (afro_blush)

Ciao!
