African born, London-based designer Bukki Ojo has just unveiled her first collection ‘Afro’ and at just 18 years of age, Bukki has already has a concession stand lined up this July! The ‘Afro’ collection can be found on the ASOS market place and has been worn by several designers, bloggers, DJ’s and today was being rocked by Vince Kidd from #TheVoiceUK.

Tell us, what is ‘Bukki’ all about?
Bukki is all about intertwining cultures, it is a combination of vintage denim and African print, with the aim being to change certain connotations of prints by making them more current and giving them a modern twist. I want to get people, particularly younger people comfortable with wearing these prints and I want them to filter through to different cultures. Also, I want to create an affordable high-street range that is urban and offers something new, I want to see people walking down the street wearing ‘Bukki’, that’s the big dream!
