If your reading this and from the UK you will know that the Brits have been marinating in grey clouds and rain over the last couple of weeks, and if your not from, but familiar with the UK, I bet your not surprised.

Rain or no rain, I try to get out and about in the city of London for great examples of individual style and creative ensembles to bring back to the blog; so Monday afternoon my SLR and I set of in the rain to Covent Garden in the hope that I would be captivated by something or someone. After walking around taking pictures of the BT Art Boxes (blog about those following shortly!) I figured today just wasn’t the day for this. It’s rainy, it’s grey and everyone is uniformally dressed in jeans, raincoats and frowned expressions. This was until I spotted the ‘girl standing outside the station’, she really stuck out to me, and I think it was down to the attention to detail, the 50′s inspired jewellery and an overall a punk pop look.

We talked briefly about her style inspirations (one of which being Pete Burns O_o) and amazing two tone hair, she said she was from Sheffield and like me is big on thrifting, second hand stores and markets. I loved her look, and I love London for having beautiful eclectic mix of people.

Haha, aww, I will admit, I do look cool! I’ve put a link to this post on my blog, I hope you don’t mind :)
I love how she’s literally standing out from the crowd!
Love it when people defy the weather! Great individual style and two fingers to the weather and the population’s staple outfits of grey to match the clouds! Love it!!
lol! Too right, getting really tired of the weather dictating my outfits. I have taken a leaf out of her book for style! :-)
