I never thought I would ever say this, but I am shamefully grateful that London Fashion Week is over! I hadn’t planned to go, and was quite uncertain that I would gain #LFW blogger accreditation, so when I did I knew it was another fashion extravaganza and great networking opportunity that could not be missed, so I held my breath, crossed my fingers and dived into the London Fashion underworld.

[LOVE]

In most cases, I am queen of the underworld, and like a true sanguine style, I love shows, people, music, late nights, canapés, and endless chit chat and champs, but for those who don’t know I ended my relationship with my partner of almost five years a couple of weeks or so ago, and although it was a premeditated decision, it’s knocked my social mojo right off kilter, and left the #LFW after parties etc. for next season.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Right, like the title says, ‘out with the old news baby, in with the new’. Thank you so much to all who nominated me for a Cosmopolitan Award for Best Lifestyle blogger. For anyone that doesn’t follow me on Twitter (which you know you should!), I have been selected as a finalist to attend the award ceremony on October 4th this year. I don’t believe I have fully expressed my gratitude, so many of you that have RT’d and Reblogged on my behalf, I am touched and deeply humbled by your love and support.

Thank You!

I know it was you guys, because it wasn’t me, I am so not the self-promotional type, not the ‘look at me, vote for me type’, so the fact that I got through on my viewer votes alone, despite the thousands of blogger entries was truly CRA(z)Y ! Thank y’all and LOVE Y’all!

African Apparel designer/blogger/fashionista AJ, from My African Closet, who recently featured in the Guardian has so kindly offered to create a custom dress for little old me, especially for the Cosmopolitan Blogger Award ceremony. So when I am not blogging, I am daydreaming about it my dress to be. So you can bet I will be posting that on here when it’s done. Congratulations to My African Closet for being nominated the running for Best Fashion Blog (I think I may have voted for you twice #overenthusiastic)

How didi you get blogger accreditation for LFW please? I’d love to apply for next season’s shows for my blog…
Hey! LFW opened up a blogger registration this year, if you sign up to the LFW newsletter they will let you know when applications open for the next show. Be prepared to write a statement and share your site stats though xxx hope that helps
Well done on your nomination for the Cosmo Blog Awards, it is very well deserved. I had fun hanging out with your during LFW.
